McKinley School

Logansport, Indiana

Fischer Design designed the landscaping at the old McKinley School that was renovated for senior housing. Native plants and rain gardens were important elements of the design.

A Team Approach – Fischer Design teamed with Green Water Infrastructure to redesign a courtyard for the 63rd Street Growth Commission’s headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Located in one of the most impoverished neighborhoods in Chicago, the non-profit economic development organization desired to incorporate sustainable practices to help address their stormwater issues. The design includes a small rain garden, permeable paver patio, decorative aggregate channels, interpretive signage and a public art display area.
